Privacy Policy
This site is run by Verdèzul, a band based in Los Angeles. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and how to get it removed.
The short version
We collect three things: anonymous statistics about how the site is used, whatever you type into the contact form, and your email address if you choose to join the mailing list. We don’t sell any of it, we don’t run ads, and we don’t share it with anyone beyond the services listed below that make the site work.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how people find and move through the site — which pages get visited, which links get clicked, roughly where in the world visitors are. This can help us decide where we might want to book shows and what people actually want to see.
This is aggregate, behavioural data. We do not use it to identify you personally. We have not connected it to any advertising network, and no advertising or cross-site-tracking cookies are set. PostHog stores a first-party identifier cookie in your browser so repeat visits aren’t counted as new people.
If you’d rather not be counted, most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting or an extension that blocks analytics, and either will work here.
Contact Form
When you send a message through the Contact page, the name, email address, subject and message you enter are delivered to the band’s inbox by Formspree, a form service. We keep those messages so we can reply, and so we have a record of a booking or press conversation.
We use what you send us to answer you. We don’t add contact form submissions to the mailing list.
Mailing List
If you enter your email address in the Stay in the Loop box, it is passed through Formspree and stored in a private spreadsheet that only the band can see. We use it to tell you about shows, releases and merch. That’s all.
We will never sell or rent the list. If we start sending through a dedicated newsletter service later, every email will carry a one-click unsubscribe link. Until then, email us and we’ll take you off of it.
Embedded Content
Some pages embed videos from YouTube and players from Spotify. When one of
those loads, the service on the other end can see that a request came from your
browser, and its own privacy policy applies to whatever happens inside the player.
We use YouTube’s youtube-nocookie.com domain so nothing is stored until you
actually press play.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for a short period as part of running any website securely.
Cookies
We set no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. The only browser storage in use is PostHog’s first-party analytics identifier described above, plus anything the embedded YouTube and Spotify players set once you interact with them.
